Ruskington, Sleaford –we had a hand in the development of houses and bungalows built by  Chanceoption Homes.

The project required a fast drying screed. This enabled the project to be completed earlier and make the properties available for sale quicker.

The solution was Mapescreed 704Chanceoption Homes were looking for a screeding company Sleaford.

Mapescreed 704 is a fast drying screed which allowed for several of these benefits.

The screed we used in this project allowed for light foot traffic after only 12-24 hours.

Ceramics can be laid after only 7 days and resilient and woods after 14 days.

The underfloor heating can be comissioned after only 15 days.

First, the Mapescreed 704 was site batched. Putzmeister M760 was used to mix the screed, along with a skip and scraper. This allowed to reduce labour effort whilst the Sleaford screed is being mixed.

Cement, Mapescreed 704, water and construction fibres like Adfil Fibrin 660F is placed in the vessel after half of the sand when mixing the screed. It is imperative that we use fibre in this project to significantly reduce the occurrence of plastic shrinkage and plastic settlement. After which, the other half of the sand is added into the vessel before the mixing begins.

The screed is then pumped to the exact location where it is required for convenience. The installers then lay the screed to provided datums.
