Floor Levelling Compounds
These screeds are generally used to level a substrate which will require them to be bonded directly to the substrate. This levelling compound then leaves the surface suitable for floor coverings, and in particular thin floor coverings that require a smooth/flat surface so that they don””t show any irregularities in the floor mirroring into the thin coverings.
There are two broad categories for these compounds:
Cementitious Compounds
With depths ranging from 3mm up to 50mm the products are very versatile and tend to be flow screeds to ensure than the product self smooth to ensure that the surface is suitable for floor coverings. The finishes range from epoxy paints and resins, wood flooring, ceramics and vinyl””s.
We can supply wearing screeds which will take foot to industrial traffic. Generally all of these polymer screeds are fast drying, but we are able to tailor the product to the required program to ensure no program time loss.
Latex Compounds
The addition of latex to the screed gives a very thin compound a degree of flex, thus making it an ideal choice for a very thin levelling compound. Used before floor coverings the latex compound smoothes the substrate making it ready for the floor coverings. With depths from 1mm up to 10mm.
Both compounds would require a bonding agent in the form of a primer.
